Customizable flight logs - settings explained

The customizable aircraft logs offer a wide range of settings that you can use to tailor your flight logging setup to meet your requirements. This article explains the most important settings.

Input and Duration

As FlightLogger differentiates between data formats in the Customizable Flight Logs you have the ability to choose what formats you want to input and what formats to get in return. By default these formats match each other, but say you want to enter the timestamps of your take-offs and landings but still need to recalculate the time into decimals for your logs, this can be configured to be done automatically here.

In a Flight Registration it will look like the following depending on your own settings:

Primary log deviation warning

It’s possible to get a warning if a Secondary or Tertiary Flight Log deviates too much from what has been entered in the Primary Flight Log of a Flight Registration. Here you can set the threshold in percentage for how big a deviation is allowed. Note: The warning is purely visual, and the registration can still be submitted in case of a warning triggering.

Must be within primary log

In case a Secondary or Tertiary Log is outside of the scope of the Primary Log it is also possible to block the Flight Registration from being submitted instead of just showing a warning. You configure this here, and this is only applicable to Secondary and Tertiary Logs in Timestamp Input formats.

Primary log offset (Taxi)

Using this setting it’s possible to configure an automated addition of minutes to the Start Time or End Time of a Secondary or Tertiary Log. This is also known as Taxi out/in.
