Managing training for PF/PM programs like MCC courses and type ratings
This article explains the process of logging multi student flights and MCC courses in FlightLogger
When you are doing multi student bookings you should ONLY use that for MCC courses and type ratings where you have a PF (Pilot Flying) and a PM (Pilot Monitoring) student, as the way FlightLogger registers these, is to use the PF time in the reports to avoid double registration.
For a correct registration using multi-student booking you'll need to set the following:
1. You need to change your settings on your simulator to use PF/PM time which is done via Administration -> Aircraft (click the Edit Flight Logs icon for the relevant the simulator). See picture here below where the red arrow is pointing towards the Pilot flying/monitoring selector.
2. You then need to change the view of which category of flight hours are shown under the overview of a student program. This is done by going into your Administration -> Programs. From here, select the program that you wish to change and click edit (the blue pencil) on the active revision.
3. Make sure the correct hours is implemented in your training programs (they list the required PF and PM time in the syllabus):
4. You will now experience in the registration in this course that the PF/PM time is automatically added when choosing the simulator. When the flight instructor continues to the flight registration tab, the PF/PM hours will be inputted accordingly to the syllabus times and can be changed by the instructor.
Note: If the PF/PM is not displayed then cross-check with the simulator to see if the selected simulator has PF/PM set-up as shown in top of this article.
