FlightLogger and my|FlightLogger - who owns the data
As a school you want to protect your unique data including training programs etc. On the other hand, your students need their training records, logbook info etc. for personal reasons.
Who owns student data while the student is active on your school?
Data produced on your organization's FlightLogger account, whether produced or uploaded, is owned by your organization. Data can be modified by your organization's users depending on their personal user rights.
Who owns student data when the student leaves your school?
Your students are entitled to have a full record of the training they have done in your training organization. While they are active and have full access too your organization's FlightLogger account, they can retrieve this data using the report generator.
When access to your FlightLogger account is removed, the user still has the right to access personal data and records. With my|FlightLogger we provide students a place to access personal flight data - and soon also training records and certificates - irrelevant of the user's access to current or former training providers.
