Customizable flight logs - special logs

This article explains what IF, AS, and PF/PM time is and where it can be an advantage to use these logs.

When configuring the timers on aircraft you'll find there's a section called Special logs.

In this article we explain the purpose of each of the up to 3 special log options.

Instrument time

Enabling the Instrument time log allows you to log actual instrument time (when you are IMC and actually fly on your instruments - not to be confused with IFR time). In practice it means you will have this additional logging field on the selected aircraft.

Instrument time is only available if activated on your FlightLogger account. To activate instrument time please contact FlightLogger Support via the link on the top of this page.

Asymmetric time

Enabling the asymmetric time enables you to log asymmetric time on the selected aircraft. In practice, it means that an Asymmetric input field is added to your flight registration on the selected aircraft:

Pilot flying/monitoring

Enabling the Pilot flying/monitoring option adds the option to log a flight as pilot flying, pilot monitoring or a mix of the two. When enabling this option, you must select a default value (which can be unspecified).
