Setting up warnings (ETA and fuel endurance) on live flights
This article explains the built-in warning features of the Departure/Arrival page.
The Departure/Arrival page has a built-in warning system that notifies selected users by email in case a flight has not been registered as landed:
- within its registered ETA
- within its registered fuel endurance
We strongly recommend that you add at least one (but typically more) person to be automatically notified by email in case this happens.
To do that, visit Administration -> Account settings -> Designated user roles, and insert the users you would like to receive the warnings.
Edit the content of warning emails
The warning emails have already been set up via the default email template, but you can edit how it should look in your organization.
To do that, go to Administration -> Account settings -> General settings.
Scroll down to Email templates and select the template called "Checkin has exceeded ETA" or "Checkin has exceeded fuel endurance". Now edit the subject and the body of your email and click Save.
Identifying flight warnings directly on the Departure/Arrival page
Besides sending out warning emails to selected receivers automatically, warnings are also displayed directly on the Departure/Arrival page via the background color added to flights that should be given extra attention due to ETA or fuel endurance warnings.
Flights with no warnings are displayed on a white background.
Yellow warning (OY-BBB). Indicates a flight that has exceeded its ETA and hasn't been registered as either Landed or On block (Debriefing).
Red warning (OY-AAA). Indicates a flight that has been in status Flight for a longer period than the registered fuel endurance (Departure fuel) on the aircraft.
