New briefing editor: Add images to lesson briefings

Adding good content to lesson briefings often requires the use of more than just text. With the new briefing editor, we have made it incredibly easy for you to enhance your briefings by incorporating images.

Visuals can greatly improve the effectiveness of your briefings by providing visual context and aiding in comprehension. To facilitate this, we have replaced the briefing text editor with a new and improved one that now allows you to seamlessly insert images into your briefings. This means you can now include relevant diagrams, charts, or pictures to support your briefing content and make it more engaging for your students.

We encourage you to take advantage of this feature and explore the endless possibilities it offers to enhance your teaching materials.

Optimisation of Document Center: Upload of multiple documents

We have listened to feedback from our users and made some exciting improvements to the functionality of FlightLogger's Document Center. One notable enhancement is the ability to upload multiple documents and files to the Document Center.

We also re-introduce the option to rename the documents during upload. Simply click the file name to edit it.

Not least, we added a link icon that allows you to review the file before uploading. All together, this greatly simplifies one of the common tasks that many users regularly encounter.

API access to guest users

With this update, we are thrilled to announce that we introduce API access to FlightLogger guest users. This means that guest users will now have the same ability to create an API token (through their personal my|FlightLogger account) as other users have. This allows guest users to flow data from FlightLogger into any 3rd party system.

Note that the data any user has access to via the API is limited by the user role given on the user's specific FlightLogger profile. This of course also applies to guest users.

Performance enhancements, faster loading of icons, images etc.

A significant aspect of the upcoming update focuses on technical improvements. In simple terms, our developers have optimized the code to streamline how the FlightLogger software functions behind the scenes.

As a result, the software now loads your data faster than ever before, reducing the risk of technical glitches. We understand that this may not sound exciting, but having a high-performance system is much more enjoyable to work with compared to waiting for tasks to complete.

Bug fixes and minor improvements

We continuously strive to make FlightLogger better by addressing user feedback and implementing various improvements.

We really hope you will like the improvements introduced with this update. As always, please send any questions and feedback to support@flightlogger.net, and we will come back to you asap.

Best regards,

FlightLogger
