Troubleshooting user login problems

In case one of your users experiences problems logging in, we recommend that you follow the following troubleshooting process:

Make sure user is using the correct login url

The most typical issue when a user is not able to login to FlightLogger is that the users has typed the wrong login url. The user can easily verify this, as your organizations logo will always show on the correct login page. If the user sees a FlightLogger logo instead, he/she is using the wrong url.

Your organization's subdomain is easily found by looking in your browser address bar when logged in. Then simply add "/login" to your subdomain address (https://xxx.flightlogger.net/login).

The user can also find the correct url in the invitation email that was send to the user from FlightLogger when he/she was created.

Log in via my|FlightLogger

All users can also log in via my|Flightlogger.net using the url https://my.flightlogger.net

This allows a direct access to all the FlightLogger profiles that the user has been given access to.

New users - resend invitation email

If the user has not yet logged in to my|FlightLogger and created a password you can as an administrator resend the invitation email that contains a link to do this. This can be done via the user's page under Settings:

When the user has a my|FlightLogger account

As soon as the user has logged into my|FlightLogger for the first time, the email can only be handled from there. This means that you as an administrator can no longer resend neither the invitation email nor a rest password email to the user. 

Instead, in case the user has lost his/her password, the user can go to https://my.flightlogger.net and use the Forgot password function to retrieve a new password.

Important when creating a new user

An important thing to be aware of when adding a new user in FlightLogger is that the user's email must be valid and active before you add the user in FlightLogger. If you create a new user in FlightLogger before creating the user's email account, FlightLogger will not be able to send the welcome email (as it will bounce due to the email address not existing), and the user will therefore not be able to log in. 

If this happens, make sure to setup the email account before resending the login email as described above.
