AI-Generated Student Summaries

This feature reduces the need to review multiple lessons manually and supports more consistent, data-driven training decisions.

This AI-Generated Student Summaries automatically analyzes instructor debriefings from the three most recent completed lessons and turns them into:

  • A short performance summary (50–100 words)

  • A set of recommended focus areas for the next lesson

All summaries follow a consistent format and are generated in the same language as the original debriefings.

Below is an example of how an AI-generated student summary can look based on debriefing comments:

Why this matters

  • Instructors get a quick overview of student progress without reading multiple debriefings

  • Improve lesson preparation with clear, AI-suggested focus areas based on real data

  • Ensure consistent evaluation across instructors and students

  • Save time and improve insights for both instructors and administrators

Note that if there is not enough debriefing data available, FlightLogger will clearly explain why a summary cannot be generated and guide you on what is required to make it available.

Disclaimer: As the content is AI-generated, we recommend that your instructors initially verify the summary by also using the new Debriefings View introduced below.

Infrastructure and Security Framework for AI-Generated Reports

The AI functionality is powered by Heroku Inference, an add-on within our existing hosting environment on the Heroku (Salesforce) platform. This ensures that the feature operates within the same infrastructure and security framework as the rest of the FlightLogger system.

  • AI provider: Heroku Inference (Heroku add-on)
  • Hosting location: EU-based infrastructure
  • Personal data: No personal data is sent to or processed by the AI service
  • Data sharing: No personal data is transmitted to any third party outside FlightLogger
  • Model training: Customer data is not used for training, fine-tuning, or improving AI models

As a result, this feature does not introduce any changes to how personal data is processed. It remains fully within the scope of our existing Data Processing Agreement and GDPR compliance setup, with FlightLogger continuing to act solely as a data processor on behalf of the customer.
