Overview
This article explains the Weather widget available in the Business Insights module. This widget provides a real-time view of METAR and TAF data for selected airports, directly on your FlightLogger dashboard.
It is a quick reference tool designed to support instructors, operations staff, and students in daily planning and decision-making.

METAR & TAF
What it shows:
This widget displays the most recent METAR and TAF information for a selected airport (ICAO code). METAR provides current weather conditions, while TAF provides a short-term weather forecast.
When to use it:
Use this widget as a quick operational reference before scheduling, briefing, or dispatch. It supports go/no-go decisions, risk assessments, and preparation for weather-related scenarios.
Example use:
You can monitor weather conditions at a Airport, including wind, temperature, visibility, and expected changes within the next 24 hours.
Need help adding widgets?
To add the Weather widget to your dashboard:

Go to your FlightLogger dashboard

Click the gear icon in the bottom-right corner

Select Add

Add the METAR & TAF widget

Click Apply
Each user can choose which airport to monitor using their own widget settings.

Once activated, you can start adding widgets to your dashboard right away.
