FlightLogger offers an optional workflow to support digital acknowledgements and authorizations as part of your dispatch process.
When this workflow is enabled, users with dispatch permissions gain full control of the Departure/Arrival page. Dispatchers are then responsible for verifying that instructors, students, crew, or renters have provided their acknowledgement or authorization before the flight is dispatched.

Step 1: Enable the Acknowledgement and Authorization Workflow
To activate the feature:

Go to Administration → Account settings → General settings

Scroll to the section titled Acknowledgement and authorization

Tick the box “Enable acknowledgement and authorization”
Once enabled, several text fields will appear – one for each user role (e.g. Student, Instructor, Renter). These texts define what the user must read and confirm prior to dispatch.
We recommend reviewing and updating these texts to match your internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
You may include links to relevant handbooks or terms if needed.
When done, click Save.
Step 2: Assign Dispatcher Permissions
To assign dispatch rights, use the updated User permissions interface.
You can do this either:
Option A – By Role

Go to Administration → User permissions

Select a user role (e.g. Staff, Instructor)

Under Departures/Arrivals, enable:

Can access
-
Can dispatch

Option B – By Individual User
-
Go to Users → [Select user] → Permissions

Under Departures/Arrivals, enable:

Can access

Can dispatch

You can assign dispatcher permissions to multiple users based on operational needs.
Once permissions are set and the feature is enabled, your team can begin using the acknowledgement and authorization flow on the Departure/Arrival page.
