The Data Backup Module (DBM) (formerly know as Dropbox Integration Module), will give you a full “paper backup” of all lessons, lectures, logbooks, etc. that is synced every night.
DBM automatically detects all lessons done/changed during the day and then generates an individual PDF for each of them. This means that if your academy has a server in the office - it will automatically sync these documents down on the computer.
When enabling DBM you can choose to manage your data backup via either Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive (Personal or Business). This article shows synchronization via Dropbox, but it works the exact same way when using the OneDrive integrations.
If using OneDrive for Business for your integration, please read these recommendations first.
Setting up the Data Backup Module
Please watch our video below for a quick walkthrough of how to set up data synchronization with the Data Backup Module.
Data backup settings
Below is a screenshot of the account settings of the DBM when the integration has been set up. From here you can adjust what data you wish to synchronize, besides the default synchronization of user logbooks, programs, and theory. Synchronization intervals can be set to either daily, weekly, or monthly.
Basically, DBM updates your own filing cabinet every night. So just like today - with paper - IF Amazon (our host provider) should ever terminate - then you can always open your “digital filing cabinet” and see everything that has ever been done inside FlightLogger.

More info
DBM is already used by many of our customers around the world and should you be interested in having a short demo of the DBM module, please let us know by sending an email to support@flightlogger.net, so we can schedule an online presentation.
The DBM module gives you access to setup data backup via either Dropbox or Microsoft OneDrive. If you want to activate it, just let us know!

Alternative to DBM
As an alternative to the Data Backup Module, you will find two reports in FlightLogger called:
- Raw data - theory report
- Raw data - flight report
You can find both these reports as an administrator under the main "Reports" tab at the top bar in FlightLogger (see screenshot attached)
These reports will give you a raw data of all flights and theory that has happened at your academy in a given period of time.
You can download both reports as an excel file but the content will not cover things like gradings, comments, logbook, etc. as the DBM does.
