Opening KML files in Google Earth
Provided the flight tracking integration with AirNav RadarBox has been set up on your account, you have the option to download flight tracks in .kml file format from FlightLogger.
KML files can be opened in several applications. This articles provides a walkthrough of how to open .klm files in Google Earth to view a flight track.
How to download KML files and open in Google Earth
First, download the .kml flight track file from FlightLogger - these can be found in either the aircraft page or on the relevant flight registration.
Download tracks from the Aircraft page, Flight tracking tab:
...or from a flight registration, Debriefing tab:
Once the file has been downloaded to your computer, open Google Earth on your computer by typing https://earth.google.com/ in your browser.
From here, select Projects in the menu to the left and then click Open. Then click Import KML file from computer.
Select the downloaded kml file and click Open.
The flight track will now display as shown below and you will be able to zoom in and out and pan around as you wish.
