Customizable flight logs - secondary and tertiary

This article explains how to set the secondary and tertiary log on your aircraft, and where it will be used in your FlightLogger account.

FlightLogger allows for up to three logs on each of your aircraft. While the primary log serves as the default log used for entries to the logbook plus inside for example the User Balance Module and the QuickBoks Integration Module, the secondary and tertiary logs can be seen as supplementing logs. 

Difference between secondary and tertiary logs

The secondary and tertiary are not prioritised differently. The main difference between the two is that only the secondary (together with the primary) can be assigned the quick buttons for logging a flight - but only if format is set to timestamp.

Setting the secondary and tertiary logs

The secondary and tertiary logs are set the same way as the primary log. This means you must go to Administration -> Aircraft and then click the Edit flight logs icon.

From there, simply set the preferred log and format of the secondary and tertiary flight log. Note that you can select any combination of log and format, so be sure to set the correct format.

Below is an example where primary is set to Block time (timestamp), secondary to Airborne (timestamp), and tertiary to Tach (decimal, two digits). Both primary and secondary have action buttons activated (for easy, quick logging), and default taxi times have been activated on the airborne log.

Adjusting aircraft logs after changing

In case you change any of the logs you will most often need to change the current status of the selected aircraft. To do this, open the aircraft settings page:

From here, select the Current tab, and insert the correct status on your logs. Click Update Aircraft and you're done.
