Combined Syllabus: now in production, with an importer
The headline feature of this release is the Combined Syllabus, now available for use in your production environment and shipping with an importer so you can reuse your existing program content.
You'll build your program much the way you do today, but with more ways to do it. You can manually add subjects, create flight sessions, create ground sessions, and import directly from your existing programs. When importing, you can pull from both ground and flight programs at once.
One thing to keep in mind: some of our legacy ground programs are structured very differently from the Combined Syllabus. In those cases — for example, where time is controlled by subjects - we can only import the subject names themselves.
Once you've selected your programs, everything populates inside the Combined Syllabus program builder. From there, you're in full control. You can move things around, rename them, and organize the program exactly the way you want — and add your own data on top of what you've imported.
NOTE:
Where a legacy ground program controls time through subjects, only the subject names will be imported. The remaining structure can be rebuilt directly in the Combined Syllabus program builder.
A new overview page for student progress
Once your structure looks right from start to finish, you're ready to apply it to a student — and this is where it gets really nice.
After you apply the program, you get a brand-new overview page for the Combined Syllabus. At a glance, you can see how far your student has progressed in both flight training and ground training, side by side, giving instructors, students, and administrators a clearer picture of where each student stands across the whole program.

Coming soon: prerequisites
We also want to give you a preview of something big arriving very soon: prerequisites. We'll share much more shortly, but this is a feature we're especially proud of, because it strengthens compliance across all of our academies.
Soon, you'll be able to set prerequisites on individual training sessions. For example, you could require that a student meets certain minimum requirements before a session unlocks, require that one session is completed before another becomes available, or require a specific certificate before a session can go ahead.
Book Combined Syllabus students directly from the booking page
You can now book students who are on a Combined Syllabus program directly from the booking page — so you can take full advantage of having flight and ground training together in one place.
An improved booking widget
We've also improved the booking widget. You can now drag it anywhere on your screen, which is especially handy if you're working on a larger display. FlightLogger will remember where you left it, so it reappears in your preferred spot every time.

Customizable default booking colors
Last but not least, you can now customize the default booking color for each booking type. For aircraft bookings and classroom bookings, you can set exactly the color you want — so you're not changing it by hand every single time.
How to get started:
To set your default booking colors, navigate to Administration > Account Settings > Booking.

Additional improvements
This release also includes a range of smaller usability and platform refinements across the system.
We can't wait to get prerequisites into your hands shortly — it's going to be a real game-changer for many of you. As always, please reach out to the FlightLogger support team with any questions or feedback.
Best regards, Team FlightLogger
