Release Notes

Software update - 15/03/2021

One-click access to Help Center and Support

Great news! Next week we will add yet another update to your FlightLogger platform.

On Monday 15th March at 07:00 UTC, we'll release the third major update of the year (besides all the minor updates that we have slipped in without disturbing you).

The main focus of this update is to make it as easy as possible for all users to get the very best value from using FlightLogger. In short, we're introducing a brand-new Help menu available for all administrators, crew, staff and instructors.

Apart from that, we're adding some handy improvements to the Student Account Module (SAM) for all the partners that have it enabled. And as always, we're releasing a number of minor improvements and bug fixes.

Learn more about the update below.

The brand-new Help menu

For quite some time we have searched for ways to make your life as a FlightLogger end user even easier. Last year, we introduced the online Help Center giving you access to a library of more than fifty instructional videos and even more help articles.

However, it has come to our attention that many of you are still not aware of our Help Center. This is all on us and to make it easier for you to get help when you need it, we're adding a little helper in the shape of a question mark on the top right corner of your platform.

Help Center

When clicking the help icon, you'll first see a link to our Help Center. If you haven't already checked it out, we strongly recommend that you familiarize yourself with all the content available from there.

Get support

As you probably know, our support team is available to help you at any time. As always, you can reach us by email to support@flightlogger.net, but now it's even easier to write us directly from within your FlightLogger account via the support widget that opens when you click Get support.

Refresher training

When you think it's time for a refresher training on how to get the most out of your FlightLogger account, simply click the link to visit our Refresher training page to sign up for one of our free monthly webinars. We recommend that you treat yourself with a refresher at least every 6 months to make sure you know how to use the new features we add to your platform.

You of course don't have to wait for the release to sign up for a free refresher training. Just click here and scroll down to find the refresher training that suits you.

Software updates

Not least, we have added a link to find information on all the latest software updates in case you missed out on any of our new features.

Note that when using FlightLogger from a smartphone, the help center, get support, refresher training, and software updates are found via the main menu.

Improvements to the Student Account Module (SAM)

For those of you that have enabled the Student Account Module (SAM) on your account, we are adding some important improvements with this update.

Most importantly, some of you have made us aware of the fact that when changing an already completed registration to another aircraft with different price settings, the pricing difference was not corrected in the transaction overview and student accounting report, which it of course should be. This is fully supported with the upcoming update, together with some minor improvements.

We recommend that partners using the SAM module learn about all the improvements in this article.

Minor improvements and bug fixes

Besides the above mentioned improvements, we will of course also this time use the opportunity to make some minor adjustments to the platform and fix a couple of bugs, that you have helped us identify.

We have said it before, but we are really thankful to have such a great group of partners that every day help us make the platform even better by sending us your input. Thanks a lot everyone, what you do benefits both us and your fellow FlightLogger partners 👍
