Software update 18/11/2024: Second version of Automated Scheduling

We are ready to release our 11th major update of the year on Monday, November 18th at 07:00 UTC. No downtime is expected for this update.

Approximately two months ago, we were excited to launch the initial version of our Automated Scheduling tool. We are now thrilled to take another step forward by introducing additional features designed to help you efficiently manage multiple bookings, cancellations, rescheduling, and deletions with just a few clicks.

This is what you can now do with Automated Scheduling:

  • Duplicate an entire day's bookings, enabling you to create and utilize booking templates.
  • Cancel all open bookings for a specific day (NEW WITH THIS UPDATE).
  • Reschedule all cancelled bookings on a specific day.
  • Move all open bookings to a new date (NEW WITH THIS UPDATE).
  • Delete all open bookings with ease (NEW WITH THIS UPDATE).
  • Recreate all bookings that have been completed.

Functions available in this version of Automated scheduling

Duplicate a full day of bookings

While this function is not new, we want to emphasize its significance as one of the simplest methods to efficiently create an optimal booking schedule for an entire day with just a few clicks through the use of booking templates.

In brief, you can set up one or more ideal schedules that you wish to use as templates for future dates. It’s important to adjust the booking visibility settings to ensure that these templates remain unseen by instructors and students.

Once your templates are established, you can easily navigate to the desired date, click the Automated Scheduling button, and duplicate the bookings using the template you’ve created.

Cancel all open bookings for a specific date

This new feature is particularly useful for situations where you need to cancel all scheduled activities on a specific date, such as due to inclement weather.

To use this feature, simply click the Automated Scheduling button and select Cancel all open bookings. You will then be prompted to choose a reason for the cancellation and provide any relevant comments. Once you complete these steps, all bookings will be automatically cancelled.

Reschedule all cancelled bookings on a specific date

Once you have cancelled the bookings as outlined above, you can easily reschedule them to a new date using the Reschedule all cancelled bookings feature. Simply select this function and specify the desired new date for your rescheduled bookings.

Move or delete all open bookings

If you need to move or delete all bookings for a specific date, you can now accomplish this effortlessly with just a few clicks using the available functions.

The move function is ideal for relocating your booking templates to a later date, ensuring they remain hidden from instructors and students.

Please note that all the features mentioned apply to both flight and ground training bookings, ensuring a seamless experience for all types of scheduling needs.

Minor improvements and bug fixes

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing user experience, our product team has introduced several minor enhancements and bug fixes to the software. We will be reaching out to clients who have previously shared their insights with us regarding these updates.
