Software update 24/07/2023: Schedule recurring bookings

It's time for another update of FlightLogger. On Monday July 24th at 06:00 UTC we will release the 7th major update of 2023. No downtime is expected for this update.*

We are thrilled to share that we have listened to our clients' requests and made scheduling recurring bookings directly from the booking page incredibly easy with our upcoming release.

To give you an introduction to this exciting new feature, we have created a short video showcasing the functionality of our repeat booking option.

Our repeat booking functionality aligns with the standards of popular calendar services like Google Calendar. However, we have taken it a step further by incorporating intelligent features that seamlessly integrate your training programs. This integration makes it even simpler for your schedulers to plan ahead and manage bookings effectively.

The new Repeat settings on an iPad:

To easily launch a complete training program, simply book the first lesson and then customize the booking to repeat at any interval you desire. This can be daily, weekly on specific weekdays, monthly on specific days of the month, or even yearly.

FlightLogger will automatically insert the lessons from your training program in the correct order, and it will even adjust if you make changes to the bookings along the way.

This new feature allows you to conveniently plan and execute entire programs, such as an MCC program or larger initiatives. It is also useful for scheduling yearly proficiency checks or scheduling theory sessions over an extended period of time. With just a few simple clicks, you can easily manage and schedule all aspects of your training program.

Other news coming with this update

We always strive to enhance our services and address any issues that may arise. In this upcoming release, we have made some minor improvements and bug fixes.

One notable improvement is that we have made a change to the way registrations with multiple flights are displayed on the Departure/Arrival history page. Each flight will now be shown on its own separate line, ensuring compliance with the requirements of certain authorities. This change will provide a clearer and more organized view of your flight history.
