Not receiving verification, password-reset, or welcome emails

If a user isn't getting a 2FA code, password-reset link, or welcome email from FlightLogger, work through the causes below in order.

Resend the welcome email

If the user has never logged in yet, you can resend their welcome email yourself:

  1. Open the user's profile.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Click Resend welcome email.

Note: This option only appears before the user's first login. Once they've logged in at least once, it disappears from the profile.

After the user has logged in once

If the resend option is no longer available and the user can't get in, have them use Forgot password on the FlightLogger login page. This sends a new reset email straight to their address and doesn't require any action from you.

If the issue is a missing 2FA code specifically

Users can turn 2FA on or off for their own account in their personal my|FlightLogger settings. You can also require 2FA account-wide for all users or for specific user groups.

Note: If a user is locked out because 2FA is required at the account level and they aren't receiving the code, you can't lift this yourself. The user needs to contact FlightLogger support directly to regain access.

Whitelist FlightLogger's domain

Add flightlogger.net and its subdomains (for example mail.flightlogger.net) to your organization's email whitelist. Your IT department can usually set this up in a few minutes. This is the most common fix for missed 2FA codes and reset emails landing in spam or being silently dropped by strict school or company mail filters.

Check whether the address is blocked

FlightLogger keeps a list of email addresses it has stopped sending to. An address ends up here after repeated bounces, after the recipient's mail server rejects or flags FlightLogger's messages as spam, or for a few other delivery reasons.

Note: Only FlightLogger support can check or remove an address from this list. There's no way to view or clear it yourself from within your account. If a user has had email issues with FlightLogger before, or their address has changed providers recently, this is worth checking.

If none of the steps above solve the problem, contact the FlightLogger support team by writing to support@flightlogger.net
