Update to the AirNav Systems Integration – Action Required
Starting November 7, 2025, AirNav Systems is introducing a fair, usage-based subscription to help cover the cost of delivering flight-tracking data to FlightLogger customers. As a result, all schools that wish to continue using the flight tracking integration will need their own subscription with AirNav Systems.
This change is based on AirNav Systems’ decision to introduce a fair, usage-based model to cover the cost of delivering flight-tracking data.
As a result, FlightLogger can no longer provide universal access through a shared account, and each customer who wishes to use the integration will instead need their own subscription and API key.
Good News – a Special FlightLogger Plan
AirNav Systems has been very supportive in this change and has created an exclusive, discounted plan especially for flight schools using FlightLogger:
Special FlightLogger Plan: $15 per month, including 50,000 API credits
This special offer makes it simple and affordable for any FlightLogger customer to keep the AirNav integration active. Note that the subscription fee is paid directly to AirNav Systems, not to FlightLogger.
Due to the very special terms of the Special FlightLogger Plan it cannot be found on AirNav's website. Instead, please contact AirNav Systems at orakhimov@airnavsystems.com to activate your plan.
What This Means for You
- By signing up with AirNav System's Special FlightLogger Plan ($15/month) you’ll still be able to attach AirNav Systems' flight tracks directly to flight records in FlightLogger.
- To do this, you’ll need your own AirNav Systems subscription on the Special FlightLogger Plan ($15/month).
- FlightLogger does not charge or earn anything for this integration.
- FlightLogger Customers who do not sign up with AirNav Systems will no longer be able to retrieve and attach flight tracks to flight records in FlightLogger.
How to Set It Up
- Contact AirNav Systems at orakhimov@airnavsystems.com to activate the Special FlightLogger Plan.
- Once your account is set up, find your API key in your AirNav account
- In FlightLogger, go to Settings → Integrations → AirNav RadarBox.
- Paste your API key and save.
The setup takes less than three minutes once you have the AirNav Systems API key.
Deadline
Please complete this setup before November, 2025 to ensure uninterrupted access to AirNav flight tracks in FlightLogger.
Why We’re Making This Change
AirNav Systems has decided to apply a very fair usage-based fee to cover their internal cost for delivering tracking data through their API.
Covering this cost for all customers — including those who don’t use the integration — would lead to unnecessary expenses for everybody. By instead moving to individual AirNav Systems subscriptions, we keep things fair and transparent:
- Only active users of the integration pay for it.
- All payments go directly to AirNav Systems.
- FlightLogger remains cost-neutral.
Thank you to AirNav Systems
We’re grateful for the continued partnership and support from AirNav Systems. Their new pricing reflects a fair approach to sustaining high-quality flight-tracking data, and we’re excited to keep building on our successful collaboration going forward.
What's coming next?
While we remain very pleased with our continued partnership with AirNav Systems, we are constantly evaluating alternative solutions to provide even more functionality to FlightLogger users.
We will of course notify you of any developments in due time.
