Editing training programs - major and minor changes
FlightLogger lets you make changes to an existing program revision, but the type of changes you can make depends on whether the revision is active or inactive.

Why These Rules Exist
These restrictions are part of FlightLogger’s built-in revision control, designed to:
-
Protect data integrity by preventing edits to approved programs once students have started.
-
Ensure students never experience unexpected major changes after starting a program.
-
Help flight schools prove that students completed an approved program without inconsistencies.
Making major changes to an active program revision
If you need to make major changes to an active program revision, you have two options:
-
Create a new revision using a template from an existing revision.
Learn more about this here: Creating a new program revision. -
Clone an existing program to create a brand-new program based on one you already have.
Learn more about cloning a program here: Cloning a training program.
